Welcome to my blog!
This summer I will be moving to Lebanon where I will live and serve for the next two years. I’m excited about the way God has led me to this opportunity by weaving together different passions and connections! In partnership with the Baptist General Convention of Texas (BGCT), I will serve as a Venturer (long-term volunteer) through the Baptist General Association of Virginia (BGAV) as part of their “focus: refugee” initiative. If you want to learn more about joining in support of this ministry, click here.
While in Lebanon I will be working for one of my favorite organizations, The Lebanese Society for Educational and Social Development (LSESD). Since I first encountered the LSESD during a trip to Lebanon in 2016, I was blown away by the significant positive impact this organization has had on thousands of lives. Its mission is to “empower the Church and serve the local community in a holistic manner that caters to body, mind, and soul” — a mission it lives out through providing physical, social, emotional, and spiritual support to Lebanese citizens and people living as refugees within the country.
I am beyond excited to be a part of the incredible work the LSESD is doing in Lebanon for the next two years! I am even more eager to see what God has in store because I clearly sense that He has led me to this decision.
